Wayne Barnes, 62, of Benton died Monday, July 24, 2006, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born Nov. 4, 1943, in Jerusalem, Ark., to David and Bessie Ruff Barnes. 

Mr. Barnes was a production specialist in telecommunications. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Donald Linn Barnes. 

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Charlene Barnes of Benton; one son, Jimmy Cook of Alexander; one daughter, Lisa Renee and husband James English of Goshen, Ind.; one brother, Wilburn David Barnes of Little Rock; five grandchildren, Joshua Duke, Amy Humphrey and husband Nash, Brennan Duke, and Chelsea Duke; one great-granddaughter, Lillian Don Humphrey; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
