Lottie Irene Bowers, 92, of Benton died Tuesday August 15, 2006, in Jonesboro, Ark.

She was born March 3, 1914 in Cherry Valley in Cross County to James and Grace Mann.

Mrs. Bowers was a retired licensed practical nurse, working at both Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton and St. Vincent Infirmary medical Center in Little Rock, and a member of Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Bowers, and daughter, Carolyn Grant.

  Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon and Beverly Bowers and Maynard and Joan Bowers, all of Benton; one daughter, JoAnne Prater of Jonesboro; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ashby Funeral Home with the Revs. Carl Richey and Van Harness officiating. Burial will be in New Rosemont Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
