Doyle Friedman Browning, 85, of Benton died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006. He was born Sept. 9, 1920, at Slocomb in Saline County to Jasper Fred and Clara Wallace Browning.

Mr. Browning retired from Reynolds Aluminum in Bauxite. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary Warford Browning; his parents; and two sisters, Marie Teague and Louise Bearden.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Jane Groth and husband Manfred of San Antonio, Texas; Shirley Anne Everett of Clearwater, Fla.; and Barbara Gayle Young and husband Jerry of Eau Claire, Wis.; one brother, David E. Browning and wife Marie of Benton; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
