Mark Steven Camp, 26, of Prattsville died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. He was born April 18, 1980, in Little Rock to Tim and Sheila Rowland Camp. A 1998 graduate of Poyen High School, he attended Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville. He worked for Comfort Systems Heating and Air. He also was a sergeant in the Arkansas National Guard, having served tours in Bosnia and most recently Baghdad, Iraq. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter Rowland, and great- grandparents, Janie and Harry Veteto. Survivors include his parents of Prattsville; two brothers, Justin Camp and Matt Camp, both of Prattsville; one sister, Amanda Camp of Grapevine; his maternal grandmother, Ruby Doggett of Prattsville; his paternal grandparents, Bill and Ann Camp of Prattsville and Violet and Jim Thompson of Hillsborough, Ore.; his paternal great-grandparents, W.O. and Velva Camp of Prattsville; two special military friends, Ryan Saling and Kevin Dixon; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Shawn Hill and Sgt. Major Steve Veazey officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. Family comments: His greatest joys in life were riding his motorcycle and making others laugh.
