Lester Carter, 81, of Conway died Monday, July 24, 2006, in Little Rock. He was
born June 27, 1925, to Charles Edward Carter and Mollie E. Keahey Carter in
Garnett.

Mr. Carter was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the United States Navy.  He
was a retired farmer and truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and eight siblings.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Carter of Conway; one son, Lester Dewayne Carter
of Shreveport, La.; one stepdaughter, Vicky McElwrath of Alexander; numerous
nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; and three grandsons.

Chapel service by Ashby Funeral Home will be 1 p.m. Friday at with burial at
Mount Olive Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
