All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Mary Mae Coker, 87, of Benton died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at Saline Memorial Hospital. She was born May 4, 1919, in Saline County. Mrs. Coker was a retired salesperson for Gingles Furniture Co. and a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the Faith Sunday School Class. She also was a volunteer for several years with the Saline Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Letha Curtis; her husband, W. L. Coker; and a brother, Lindy Curtis. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bill Gentry of Bryant; a grandson, Marcus Gentry of Bryant; a great-granddaughter, Griffin Gentry and her mother, Tracee Miller, of Collierville, Tenn.; two brothers and their wives, Hulon and Bonnie Curtis of Malvern; James and Jessie Curtis of Hot Springs; one sister and brother-in-law, Nina and Bill Blaylock of Paron; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ashby Funeral Home, with the Revs. Brian Moore, Carroll Koon and Bobby Goodknight officiating. Burial will be in New Rosemont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Heights Baptist Church Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Family comments: Mrs. Coker also enjoyed her friends and activities in the Joy Group.
