Clifford Samuel Davis, 78, of Catoosa, Okla., died July 31, 2006, in Tulsa,
Okla.

He was born Jan. 13, 1928, in Hot Springs to Clifford Snead Davis and Jewel
Geneva Dawson Davis.

Mr. Davis married the former Miron Virginia Williams on Dec. 21, 1946. He
retired from McDonnell-Douglas after 31 years of service. He served in the
National Guard and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Roger Dale Davis, on July
9, 1970.

Survivors include his wife; three children, the Rev. Samuel Gene Davis and wife
Kathy of Coweta, Okla., and Dan Rodney Davis and wife Linda and Nadu Diane
Davis, all of Verdigris, Okla.; four grandchildren, Don Seat and Dara Goodsell
of Verdigris, Roxanne Davis of Tulsa, Okla., and Kristina Lea Davis of Coweta,
Okla; four great-grandchildren, Emily, Anna and Owen Seat and Eva Goodsell; one
sister, Madelyn Westbrook of Benton; and one brother, Harold Gene Davis of
Benton.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at the Woodcrest Freewill Church in
Catoosa, Okla., with Dr. Wallace L. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Dick
Duck Cemetery in Catoosa. Arrangements are under the direction of Amis-Kennard
Funeral Service of Catoosa, Okla.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society-Oklahoma Research.
