Abraham L. Edmisten, 82, of Benton died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006.

He was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Dante, Va.

Mr. Edmisten was retired from the Arkansas Highway Department and was an
ordained Baptist minister.

Survivors include two sons, Abraham Edmisten Jr. and Gary Edmisten, both of
Cleveland, Ohio; three daughters, Debbie Orlik of Orwell, Ohio, Gloria A.
Winfrey of Greenbelt, Md., and Cindy Edmisten of Benton; one brother, William
Edmisten of Georgia; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Arkansas
Health Center.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ashby Funeral Home.
