All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** - from Benton Courier Obit Dovie Frances White Finley, 91, of Poyen died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at Arbor Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Malvern. She was born Oct. 14, 1914, in Glen Rose to William Curry and Lona Eldridge White. Mrs. Finley was a homemaker and a member of Poyen Missionary Baptist Church. She married Louie Finley in June 1944. He died in 1989. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one stepson, Eldridge Finley; one brother, Norris White; and one granddaughter, Kayce Finley. Survivors include two sons, Earl Glen Finley of Arkadelphia and Melvin Finley and wife Linda of Malvern; two stepsons, L.D. Finley and wife Ruth and Horace Finley and wife Nancy, all of Malvern; one stepdaughter-in-law, Sue Finley of Benton; one brother, Clemmie White and wife Estelle of Benton; one sister-in-law, Louise White of Malvern; 13 grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Poyen Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Speer and Steve Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey-Poyen Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern. Family comments: Three more great-great-grandchildren soon will be born.
