Washington Post, Jul. 1, 1919 - Harrisonburg, Va. - June. 30 - John R. Gibbons,
a former resident of this county, died at his home in Bauxite, Ark., on Jun. 15
of pneumonia. He was a civil war veteran, and in the organization of United
Confedederate Veterans was elected Major General commanding, the Arkansas
Division. Surviving are his widow, two sons and one daughter.
