She was at Little Rock in a hospital where she had an operation. She has been almost an invalid the past seven years. It was hard to give her up, but the Lord knew her and called her from this sinful world. Nellie was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Carey James of Alum. She leaves to mourn her loss, a _____mother, three brothers and _____sisters. So dear ones, don't grieve for she said she was not afraid to die. Remember she is not suffering now. On August 7th, the icy hand of death was laid on her husband, Smithy Garner, who had been ailing for four years. It was hard to let them go. He leaves a mother, Mrs. Mary Garner, and two children who mourn for a face that they will not see on earth again. So, dear relatives, do not weep, but think how much better off they are than we. Nellie was laid to rest in the Evans Cemetery by her brothers and ____ father and Smithy was laid to rest in the Gravel Hill Cemetery by the side of his first wife.
