All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Emma Hefley, 81, of Owensville died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, at her home. She was born Aug. 30, 1925, in Saline County to Wesley and Gussie Parker Hughes. Mrs. Hefley was a member of Owensville Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday School for 25 years and had worked for Colonial Nursing Home for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.D. Hefley; and one brother, Bedford Hughes. Survivors include one daughter, Sue Wilson and husband Gerald of Owensville; two grandchildren, Lori Burke of Cabot and Mark Wilson of Hot Springs; one great- granddaughter, Taylor Wilson of Hot Springs; two brothers, Marion Hughes of Benton and James Hughes and wife Faye of Hemet, Calif.; one sister, Ruby Wendle of Torrance, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Owensville Baptist Church, with the Revs. Clarence Shell, Larry Sherman and Gary Gipson officiating. Burial will be in Owensville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Ziegler, Dean Harris, Rick Merryman, Bob Nichols, Blair Chaney and Tommy James. Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Vance, Hurlon Ray, the Rev. Bill Howard, Tommy Truelove, D.L. Ziegler and Bill Chaney. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton.
