Bessie Jamison, 80, of Benton died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006.

She was born Nov. 18, 1925, in Hemingway, S.C., to Hillie Quincy and
Louise Moore.

Mrs. Jamison was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George Ben Moore;
and one sister, Mary Jane Moore McDaniel.

Survivors include her husband, Merrill Jamison; two brothers, Quincy
Moore Jr. of Hemingway, S.C., and Capous Moore of Smyrna, Ga.; six
sisters, Edith Collins, Bessie Cooper, Edaphill McDaniel, Retta Powell and
Thelma Williams, all of Hemingway, S.C., and Lucille Sanders of
Georgetown, S. C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Sharon Missionary Baptist
Church. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be
Bernie Gaiser, George Ramsey, Bill Watts, Theron Price, Kent Ramsey,
Gerald Webb, Jack Ramsey and Dub Grant. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim
Ramsey, Ricky Lambert, Buzz Dyson and Orville McPherson. Arrangements
are under the direction of Ashby Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Sharon Missionary Baptist Church.
