Doris Olivette Montgomery Johnson, 89, of Bauxite died Saturday, July 1, 2006,
in Benton.

She was born Aug. 6, 1916, in Alexander to Lewis and Pearl Pettus.

Mrs. Johnson was a housewife, member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Sardis United
Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, C. J. Johnson of Bauxite; two daughters, Norma
Covington of Bryant and Carolyn Jarman of Little Rock; two stepdaughters, Pat
Adair of Pine Bluff and Marge Ashcraft of Pine Bluff; three brothers, Dillard
Pettus of Bauxite, Joe Pettus of Benton and Clayton Pettus of Bauxite; two
sisters, Mamie Dobbins of Pine Bluff and Jean Zaragoza of Benton; four
grandsons, Kenneth Montgomery of Conway, Douglas Montgomery of Mojave, Calif.,
Michael Jarman of Paragould and Scott Covington of Cheyenne, Wyo.; four
granddaughters, Lorri Achziger of Mojave, Calif., Kala Hatch of Mountain Home,
Julie Kriger of Jacksonville and Michelle Tully of Bauxite; and eight great-
grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ashby Funeral Home, Burial will
be in McPherson Cemetery in Sardis.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
