All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Albert Sidney Landers was born Sept. 17, 1877, at Sweetwater, Tenn.; died Jan. 31, 1939, at Blossom, Texas, age sixty -one years, four months and fourteen days. When a small child, with his parents he moved to Saline county, Arkansas. At the age of twenty years Dec. 12, 1897, he was married to Arizona E. Burks. To this union were born five children. All survive except one, who died in infancy. Survivors are his wife, Arizona E. Landers; sons Lilburn, Roy and Ernest Landers; daughter, Mrs. Dan Hammons; twenty?two grandchildren; two brothers, A. L. Landers of Paris, Texas, and Jesse S. Landers of Comanche, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Quantz of Haskell, Ark., and Mrs. Lillie Parks, Searcy, Ark. On Sept. 10, 1919, he, with his family, moved to Lamar county, Texas, near Blossom, and made his home there until his death. At the age of seventeen he joined the Methodist church, taking an active part in the church work, such as steward, superintendent and teacher,, also constant Bible reader.
