Landers aged sixty- eight years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Leslie Power, in Phoenix, Arizona, Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Landers was one of our best known citizens but had been in ill health for a number of years. He was identified with the business and civic life of Benton for a number of years and was numbered with the most highly respected citizens. Years ago, together with his brother, A. T. Landers he was engaged in the furniture and undertaking business, selling out to the Benton Furniture and Undertaking Co., and taking a position as funeral director, remaining with the firm several years. He is survived by Mrs. Landers, two sons, William and Virgil, of Benton, and one daughter, Mrs. Leslie Power, Phoenix, Arizona; four brothers, A. T., A. S., S. R. and J. S. and three sisters, Mrs. H. T. Quantz, of Haskell; Mrs. N. W. Beaty, Benton, and Mrs. Leslie Parks, Searcy. The body will be brought home for burial. Announcement of funeral arrangement later.
