Mary Stone Moore, 94, of Benton, formerly of Attalla, Ala., died Sunday, Sept.
17, 2006.

She was born May 7, 1911, in Altoona, Ala., to Thomas and Sallie Stone

Mrs. Moore worked as a registered nurse in Alabama for Albertville-Boaz
Hospital, Dr. Lumpkin and retired as a nurse for Republic Steel in Gadsden, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Williams Pledger Moore;
and two sons, Thomas Lynn “Tom” Moore and John Wesley Moore.

Survivors include one son, Brenton Moore and wife Judy of Knoxville, Tenn.; one
daughter-in-law, Judy Moore of Benton; four granddaughters, Stacy Moore and
Karlyn Jay, both of Benton, Margaret Garrett of Knoxville, Tenn., and Laura
Moore from Texas; three great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and
nephews.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home in Attalla,
Ala. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be friends of First
Baptist Church in Attalla, Ala. Arrangements are under the direction of Ashby
Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, just
before the service.
