All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Bertha Potter Bertha Potter, 80, of Benton died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006. She was born Aug. 6, 1926, in Scott to George and Mildred Neal. Mrs. Potter was retired from the Benton Services Center (now Arkansas Health Center), worked for Carelink and was a member of Wright's Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, S.A. Potter Sr.; and one brother, Doc Neal. Survivors include three sons, Willie Franklin Potter, S.A. Potter Jr. and Johnny Edward Potter, all of Benton; two daughters, Betty Tiner and Shirley Ann Peeler, both of Benton; three brothers, George Neal of Benton and Dotsi Neal, both of Benton, and Sam Neal of Bryant; one sister, Mary Ragan of Hot Springs; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bauxite, with Wayne Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Steven Potter, Wade Potter, Eugene Potter, Gary Henry, Shawn Baskin and Johnny Harmon. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ashby Funeral Home.
