Wilma Evelyn Richey, 81, of Benton died Thursday, July 27, 2006.

She was born Feb. 20, 1925, in the Avilla community.

Mrs. Richey was a homemaker and a member of Avilla Zion Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ida Bierwirth.

Survivors include her husband, Don Richey; two daughters, Janis Boersma of
Jackson, Miss., and Donna Corballis of Alexander; three brothers, William
Bierwirth of South Carolina, Kenneth Bierwirth of Albuquerque, N.M., and
Nicholas Bierwirth of Dallas; and two sisters, Clara Oliver of Little Rock and
Carolyn Halbert of Springdale.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Avilla Zion Lutheran Church, with the
Rev. Roland Schutz officiating. Burial will be in Avilla Cemetery.
