He was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Smackover to William A. and Alice Thelma Rolland Robbins. Mr. Robbins was of the Baptist faith, a World War II Army veteran, a Mason and member of Masonic Lodge No. 543, a 1944 graduate of Norman High School and retired from Reynolds Metals Co.. He was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Robbins; and his parents. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Robbins of Benton; one son, Gary Robbins and wife Angie of Benton; one daughter, Diane Shelnut and husband Dowayne of Benton; one sister, Melva Jean Floyd of Norman; two brothers, Harlan Robbins of Glenwood and Damon Robbins of Arkadelphia; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home with the eulogy delivered by his grandson, Eric Shelnut.
