Mrs. Sallie Gertrude Summerville, wife of J. C. Summerville, died at the family
residence on River Street Wednesday afternoon at five o clock, after a short
illness.

Mrs. Summerville was a member of the Methodist church, having joined in early
childhood.  She is survived by her husband, J. C. Summerville, one son, Marvin
Summerville, of Benton: and an adopted daughter, Mrs. --?--  Markley of Memphis,
three brothers, Dr I. P. Dougan of Benton; J. C. Dougan of Greenville, Miss.;
and T. J. Dougan of Little Rock; three sisters, Mrs. Tom Sweeny, of Benton, Mrs.
Kate Smith Hunter, of Little Rock and Mrs. Neal Mc--?-- of Pine Bluff, also a
number of grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 2
p. m. by Rev. Brewer.  Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery.
