He was born Oct. 11, 1939, in Bairdstown, Texas. Mr. Swain was a retired truck driver, a member of the Elks Club in Festus, Mo., a member of the Teamsters Union and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Swain; a son, Robert Gene Swain; his parents, Eugene and Juanita Swain; and a sister, Patsy Ford. Survivors include one daughter, Donna Jan Swain Tedeton and her husband, Prentice Tedeton Jr. of Calhoun, La.; a son, Donald Gene Swain Jr. of Beebe; a brother, Elbert Ray Swain and wife Bobby of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel, Chance, Lindsay, Kayla and Robert Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Jeanna and Kayleigh; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville, La. Family comments: He is also survived by his beloved friend, Shirley Butler of Farmerville, La., and his son's fiancee, Kristi Holland of Beebe.
