Lorenzo D. Williams Jr., 80, of Alexander died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006.

He was born Dec. 13, 1925, in Scarbough, W.Va.

Mr. Williams was a member of Evening Light Tabernacle Church at Mount
Ida for more than 38 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; one son, Jack Williams;
his parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include his daughter, Susan Mariner and husband David; two
stepdaughters, Donna Stehle and husband Michael and Janet Bloodworth and
husband Dan; one brother, Revis Williams; one sister, Sue Shower; and
nine grandchildren, James, Jonathan, Rachel, Sharon, Lori, Gary,
Michael, Jennifer and Steven.

Graveside service at Butler Cemetery will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Griffin Leggett-Forest
Hills in Alexander.

Family comments: He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and
talking about the Bible with his family.
