July 5, 1843 On this day comes George S. Terry, administrator of the estate of Stephen S. Terry, dec'd, and reports that he has reviewed an additional inventory for thirty dollars and there appearing to be a sufficiency of assets to pay the debts legally exhibited against the estate it is hereby ordered that the said administrator pay said debts and all the costs accruing on this estate. On this day comes Ezra M. Owen former administrator of the estate of E. T. Kindle, dec'd and on motion files his amounts for settlement of said estate. Which is continued until the next term of court. On this day comes William T. Wofford administrator of the estate of Calvin Abro? Sr. and on motion files here his amounts for settlement of said estate and discharges which is continued until the next term of court. James Cox and William Calvert, partners in trade under the name of Cox & Calvert vs. (Action on Account) Valentine Brazil Sr. administrator of the estate of Robert Brazil dec'd, On this day came the said Cox & Calvert and files in court here an account against the estate of Robert Brazil dec'd for the sum of twelve dollars and 30/100 which appeared to have been duly authenticated to law. It is therefore considered by the court here that the said Cox & Calvert have and recover from said administrator out of said estate the said twelve & 30/100 dollars. With interest at 6 percent from this date. April 2, 1844 At a probate court began and holden at the court house in the County of Saline in the State of Arkansas on the 2nd day of April being the first Tuesday after the first Monday in April A.D. 1844. Present the Honorable Green B. Hughes, Judge of Probate. Estate of R. Childers The administrator of the estate James Mosley having failed to settle said estate and proceed not. Being served for four successive terms of this court, it is therefore ordered that the said James Mosley be and is hereby removed from said administration and that his letters be and is hereby revoked. On Motion Thomas Pack is hereby appointed administrator debouis non of the estate of Robertson Childress, Deceased. Estate of Robert Brazil On this day comes Valentine Brazil administrator of estate of Robert Brazil deceased and filed his accounts for settlement. Which is continued until the next term of this court. Estate of Squire Allen On this day came Richard Brazil administrator of the estate of Squire Allen, deceased and filed his accounts for settlement, which is hereby continued until the next term of this court. Estate of G.A. McDaniel dec'd On this day came David C. McDaniel and John S. Black as administrators of said estate and reported that they had sold (in accordance with an order of this court made at the last term of this court) the Tavern House and lots, to wit, block seven in the town of Benton to Ezra Milenn?, lots nine, ten, eleven, & twelve, except what part thereof has sold by the said deceased in his lifetime, for eight hundred and fifty dollars- two thirds of the appraised valued thereof, and that the balance of the real estate of said estate would not sell for two thirds of it's appraised value- and further pray an order to sell remaining portion of the real estate of said estate on the first Monday in July 1844 and to have the same value- It is therefore considered by the court here that the said administrators so proceed to have the remaining real estate of said estate advertise according to law and sell the same at the courthouse door in the town of Benton at public auction on the first Monday in July next 1844 and a credit until the first day of January 1845 taking bond with sufficient security and withhold the title until the purchase money is fully paid. Estate of Robert Brazil, dec'd On this day comes Valentine Brazil, admn of said estate and reported that in consequence of high water he was prevented from selling the real estate of said estate on the day heretofore appointed by this court- and further prays the court for an order in this behalf to sell the said real estate of said estate of Robert Brazil, dec'd- It is therefore ordered by the court that the said administrator herein do proceed to have the real estate of said estate of Robert Brazil, deceased appraised and advertised according to law, and that he offer the same for sale at public auction at the court house door in the town of Benton on the first Monday in July 1844 an a condit? of six months taking bond and security and to with hold a title to said real estate until the purchase money is fully paid.
