The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 90th anniversary. They are arranged alphabetically for presentation here. Pictures were included with these short biographies. METCALF, Linnie: Linnie Metcalf celebrated her 102nd birthday January 24th, 1991. She was born in Ellis County, Texas in 1889, the daughter of the late James T. and Sally Henderson. She is the eldest of 10 children, seven brothers and three sisters, with two brothers still living. She was a resident of Mansfield before coming to Pinewood in October 1987. Her husband, Charlie C. Metcalf still resides at Mansfield. They have no children, but Linnie had three daughters by a previous marriage, and has survived them all. Linnie met Charlie in Stockton, California, and they were later married in Old Mexico. They have been married 36 years. Linnie has been saluted on the "Today" Show by Willard Scott on the occasion of her 100th and 101st birthdays. At age 100 Linnie represented Pinewood Nursing Home in the Ms. Nursing Home Beauty Pageant of District 2 at Fort Smith and received honors of Ms. First Runner-Up.
