NEWMAN CEMETERY

This cemetery is located near Parks on County Road #17. The cemetery 
is located on the right side of the road about 5 miles. There are 
several graves there but only six with stones. This abandoned cemetery 
is sometimes called Brushy Cemetery or Shores Cemetery. The following 
tombstones were found and copied on 20 March 2000.

[She was Nancy A. Pool, daughter of George & Agnes Pool of Benton
County, Alabama. Nancy was born in South Carolina & married first
Abner B. Pettit & second Stephen L. Haney.]
