She had been in bad health for several months. While her suffering was great, all was done for her that loving hands could do. She was born in 1859. She professed a hope in Christ when a young girl and united with Missionary Baptist Church of Tate in 1909 of which she was a faith[ful] member at her death. She was laid to rest in the Cauthron Cemetery the day following her death. Funeral services were conducted by Elder Riley Bethel. Sister Wilson was loved by all who knew her and everyone missed her especially her heart broken husband and children. She leaves five sons and one daughter and several grandchildren to mourn her death. God alone knows the grief and heart ache her going away has caused. Why she had to go is more than we can understand, when it seems like she was needed so much with us. But our Heavenly Father makes no mistakes; He doeth all things well. All we know to say to her loved ones is to look to Jesus for consolation. He is the only one who can heal your broken heart. Weep not, children, for your Mother, She has gone across the sea But in that eternal city Death can never come. Boyd Sykes W.A. Brigance Claud Brigance Mrs. Ida Chanclar Mrs. Jewel Parrot Done by order of church this April 11, 1925. Elder J.A. Amos, Moderator T.E. Taylor, Church Clerk Page 111 In Memory of Sister Mammie Boggs Sister Mammie Boggs died May 11th 1925. She was the wife of M.A. Boggs, was borned Sept. 9, 1904. Age 20 years and eight months and 2 days. She was married to M.A. Boggs Sept. 5th 1920 and to this union was borned four children, three boys and one girl of which two boys and the little girl are dead. She was the daughter of John and Sarah Thompson. She leaves to mourn her death a husband, 5 brothers and a host of friends. Yet we feel that our loss is her gain for she professed faith in Christ Aug. 1923 and joined the Missionary Baptist Church and was baptised by J.A. Amos at the age of 18 yrs. She lived a faithful Christian life to her death so we bow in humble submission to the will of him that doeth all things well. While it is hard to give her up for we loved her much but God loved her more so we should not weep as those that have no hope. Dear husband, child and brothers, relatives and friends, we commend you to God and as David said when his child died. We know she can not come back to us but we can go to her. We beg each of you that has not made peace with God to repent of your sins now while you have the opportunity, seek him while he may be found, call on him while he is near. Isaiah 55: 3-7. Resolved first that we extend our heart felt sympathy to the bereaved family and commend them to God who doeth all things well. That a copy of this be spread on our church record and that a copy be sent to the beloved family and a copy be sent to the Baptist and Commoner for publication. Done by order of Union Hope Ark.
