The parties who fired into William JONES house in Sevier county a few nights 
ago killing little Reed JONES, a boy six years of age and wounding an older 
brother have been aprehended and are safely behind bars, having been committed 
to jail by the examining magistrate.The names of the culprits are COX, COOK 
and LEE, and all of them are all more barefooted youths. COOK turned state 
evidence and "peached" on the other participants of the shooting.One of JONES 
sons had testified against them in an indictment for carrying pistols, and 
while in a drunken condition they determined to get even with JONES by firing 
into his house, with the above results.COOK was placed in jail here and COX 
and LEE were carried to Murfreesboro, as Sevier county has no jail.There is 
talk of mob violence.
