She lived at Hope, Arkansas and in Oklahoma before moving to Van Buren County on White Oak mountain. She was born January 29, 1894 the daughter of Collie and Lizzie Armstead. She had three sisters, Lillie Russell, Lena Linzy and Katie Russell and brother, George Armstead, who died early in life. The Armstead family homesteaded a farm several miles northeast of the Edd Person farm on White Oak. She and Herbert Person were married on January 6, 1917. She had three children whose information appears under the Herbert Person family history. After her separation from Herbert in 1937 she moved back to Lost Corner in Pope County and lived with her parents. She bought land there which had an income from timber. In her later years she lived in the homes of older people and cared for them for a salary. In 1965, she moved to Ola, Arkansas, in Yell County and lived in her daughter Edith's home, She remains there in 1968.
