His birth date was January 15, 1916. He was named for three uncles, Clarence Armour, Herbert Person and Herbert Hulsey. He attended school at New Hope and Austin schools. In January, 1925, his family moved to Carden Bottom and there he attended high school for two years after grade school at New Hall. He helped with the farming during crop season. He married Ola Marie Grimes July 7, 1934 and they lived at Pontoon, Fowler and on the John Cowger place near Lakeview when Phoeba Ann Person was born July 28, 1938. In about the year of 1942 they moved to Chicago and both secured jobs there. They soon separated due to the inexperience of living in a large city and the frustrations of a young married couple. He lived with a sister, Lucille Person Tucker, for some time before returning to Arkansas. He married Marjorie Knuckles on October 29, 1949. They lived at Riverside a few years where Clarence helped his father cultivate the P. G. Blevins farm. They moved to Missouri before 1956 to farm. In 1958, they separated and Clarence "Pad" moved back to Arkansas to live with his parents at Elberta. After their death, he remains in the family home in 1968. Clarence "Pad" Person was rejected by the Armed Services during World War II because of the disability of a crippled arm that stemmed from bone infection (osteomyelitis possibly) when he was a child. Phoeba Ann was reared by her mother and stepfather, Victor Belmonte, in Chicao. She is a Roman Catholic. Phoeba married Salvatore De Benedito on June 25, l960 and they had two children by 1967
