C10  ESMOND LUCILLE PERSON was born on White Oak mountain in Van Buren 
County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of  John and   Bertha Armour Person.
     
Her family moved to Carden Bottom, Yell County, in 1925. She attended grade school 
at Newhall and Lakeview. She graduated from Carden Bottom High School April 27, 
1939. On May15, 1938 she received a broken leg due to a fall from a horse. She was 
confined to bed and wheelchair for 3 months.
     
 Lucille was valedictorian of her high school graduation and in the fall of 1939 on a 
small scholarship she entered Arkansas Polytechnic College in Russellville. She 
graduated from there in May, 1941 (65 semester units). She joined the First Baptist 
Church in Russellville in 1940.

She married  Opie Reid Tucker on March 1, 1941. They moved to Chicago, along with  
Raymond and  Neal Person and their families, and lived there about 8 years and then 
another 4 years in Fox River Grove, Illinois. Opie Tucker's company, Teletypesetter, 
transferred him to San Francisco in 1953 and the family bought a home in Mountain 
View. They lived there until 1958. From 1958 to 1967 they lived in Los Altos, 
California. She was employed 3 and 1/2 years at First Western Bank, 3 and 1/2 years at 
First Federal Savings of San Jose in Mountain View and 2 years as bookeeper for the 
Los Altos News.
 
D16-  Jenny Belle Tucker was born August 15, 1942 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. 
D17-  Wallace Reid Tucker was born October 7, 1953 in Russellville, Pope County, 
Arkansas.
 
In July, 1967 her family moved to the Los Angeles area and she attended California 
State College at Los Angeles. She received a BA degree in Fine Arts on June 7, 1968 at 
the age of 46 after having attended 3 other colleges, Arkansas Tech, Foothill College in 
Los Altos Hills, California and San Jose State College in San Jose. Her graduating class 
consisted of 3,300 graduates.
