These electronic pages cannot be reproduced in any format for profit or other presentation. ____________________________________________________________ B2 LOUISA JANE ARMOUR was known as Jennie and was born February 24, 1870 at Corksville, in Sarber, Logan County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Thomas Dixon and Sarah Elizabeth Ringer Armour. She moved with her family to Shelby County, Tennessee at an early age and lived there until around 1879. The family moved back to Arkansas and settled in the old Liberty Hall community. She attended school at the Bennett schoolhouse. Her father died circa 1883. Jennie married Robert "Bob" Whitford in 1885. "Bob" was born in 1867 and lived until 1890. They had four children. The two oldest ones died soon after birth. C7- Lillie Whitford was born September 4, 1888 and C8 Albert Whitford was born in 1890. "Bob" Whitford died in 1890 a short time before the death of Albert in 1891. The two were buried in Ringer cemetery. In October, 1892, Jennie married James Franklin George born August 23, 1870. They had three sons to reach manhood. They were Leonard, Lester and James "Pete" who are listed with the family previously in this book. Lillie Whitford married Herman Hammock. They had a daughter, D21- Marie Hammock. Lillie inherited a farm near Cotton Town from her Grandfather Hammock but she sold it before her death which occurred on Februruy 24, 1917. Tuberculosis was the cause of her death and burial was in the Harris cemetery. Herman and Marie moved to Louisiana. Marie made visits to Arkansas to visit her Grandmother Jennie. Jennie and Frank lived at old Neely in 1900. They moved to new Neely where they owned their home and blacksmith shop. Jennie and Frank raised an orphan, Ruth Johnson. She died with appendicitis while still in her teens. She was buried at Harris cemetery. Jennie died August 21, 1953 in St.Mary's Hospital, Russellville, Arkansas. Her funeral was held at the Church of Christ in Centerville, Arkansas. Burial was in the Ringer cemetery near her first husband and children. Frank died November 19, 1953 at his home. He was buried beside Jennie, Clarence Armour, a nephew of Jennie's and Frank's, made his home part time with them after the death of his parents.
