Hall was born sometime between 1847-1851 in Mississippi. His mother is listed as Emmeline age 50 with a birthplace of Alabama. Her parents have the curious listing of N-C- (which I have no idea what it means.) On the 1880 census for Logan county Arkansas. Greenberry Hall married Florence Haney in the home of James Madden on the 31st of January 1875. (Marriage records Yell county, Arkansas book A pg. 405) [Note Florence Madden age 15 married C.E. Haney age 28. 19 Dec. 1872. *Book 0 page 320. Yell County, Arkansas, Spring Creek township.] We don't know what happened to CE Haney or if they had kids. This C.E Haney is believed to be the Clarence E. Haney that married Florence's older sister Mary Jane Madden Which brings us to the family of interest here... that of Samuel Madden. Samuel R.
