He and his faithful wife, the former Leta Lyon of Caldwell live on their farm north of Forrest City. Judge Clark attended school at Caldwell, Colt, and later Jonesboro A. & M. He also won a scholarship to the University of Arkansas. He received a first grade teacher's certificate in 1918 and taught school for two years. He has served in the Arkansas Legislature and two terms as tax assessor for St. Francis County.
