All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** The story of the life of Charles Walter Hill, prominent land owner of Heth, Arkansas, who passed on to his reward on Apr. 5, 1949, is the story of outstanding success by a self made man. Mr. Hill was born in Wynne in Cross County, in 1872, the son of the late John and Betty Hill. All his life. he lived close to the soil for it was his choice and good fortune to be of that essential class of men who have since the beginning of Man, been the backbone of any way of life-a farmer. Besides farming, he was a partner in the firm Hill & Clark Mercantile Store and was part owner of Hill Gin Co. On Apr. 15, 1931, he married Mrs. Frankie Castleberry of Burnt Cane, Ark.
