Izard, a hardy pioneer of foresight, opened the local insurance agency which still proudly bears his name. It was in 1893, now some seventy-one years later, the R. J. Izard Insurance Agency is now operated by Mrs. Zell R. Izard and Fenner Laughinghouse in the Old Planters Bank Building on East Broadway. Mrs. Laughinghouse who is equally active in the insurance agency, was born and reared in Forrest City. She is the former Bess Stevens and have two fine children, a son and daughter. The Laughinghouse's are members of the First Methodist church. SOURCE: HISTORY of ST. FRANCIS COUNTY, ARKANSAS, 1954 - Robert W.
