Long, Forrest City's popular and efficient dentist, is one of Forrest City's most enterprising and progressive citizens. He was born on August 20, 1871, in this city, and is a son of Abram J. and Mollie (Jones) Long, the former native of Dayton, Ohio, and the latter of Pontotoc, Mississippi. Our subject is a carefully educated man, eminent in his own profession, that of dentistry. He spent three years at the University of Arkansas, and is a graduate of Eastman Business College, at Poughkeepsie, New York, and is also a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and a post-graduate of the dental department at the College of Medicine, of Louisville, Kentucky. On October 14, 1894, Dr. Long was happily married to Miss Kate Izard, younger daughter of Col. V. B. and Mrs. M. T. Izard, of this city, and to this union one child, Ernest A.
