In the two years C. W. Montgomery, the genial, conscientious and efficient
District Manager of the Life Insurance Company of Georgia, has been in Forrest
City he has made a host of friends in many circles. He was born at Junction
City, Ga., and was graduated at the Carrollton, Ga., A & M, On June 11, 1939, he
married Miss Essie Lumpkin of Junction City, and to this union has been born a
daughter. Before he came here, he managed a grocery store in his home town eight
and a half years, and then joined the Life Insurance Co. of Georgia in August of
1954 as an agent. He was promoted to District Manager in Forrest City in
November, 1951. He is a member of the First Baptist Church, and the Lions Club.
