Judge E. A. Rolfe and Sam Rolfe of Forrest City opened the first automobile
agency in 1924 as the Hughes Motor Company and sold Ford cars for three years
with W. C. Bowen as manager. The company is still in operation under the name of
Hughes Auto Company and now sells Chevrolet cars and trucks.
