A substantial progressive citizen, Mr. Sharpe has utilized the wide business experience and understanding he obtained in many years of successful operation of his clothing firm to the advantage of the bank and the community it serves. He opened Sharpe's store for men in 1904 at the corner of Washington and Broadway. His skill at tailoring brought him a thriving business. They have one son and three daughters. Mr. Sam Sharpe belongs to the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and is a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of the original YBMC. SOURCE: HISTORY of ST.
