B. Barnes, 79 were held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Stevens Funeral Home with the Rev. W. Clyde Hankins officating. Burial followed at Forrest Park Cemetery. Mrs. Barnes died at Forrest Memorial Hospital at 6: 30 p. m. Tuesday August 8. She had been in poor health for two years, and in critical condition for three weeks. Mrs. Barnes born Sept. 19, 1887, in Obion, Tenn., the daughter of Virginia Cisco Ragsdale and Henry Z. Ragsdale. She moved to Forrest City in 1927, and in recent years had resided at 1034 North Washington Street. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and for many years, had been active in the work of the Sundan School and Women's Missionary Society. She was married to Walter B. Barnes in 1906. Mr. Barnes died in 1955. Mrs. Barnes leaves one daughter; one son, both of Forrest City; a sister, of Okolona, Miss; two brothers, of Dallas and Winter Park, Fla.; and two grandchildren, both of Forrest City.
