Brown, age 69, supervisor of the Caldwell Lunch kitchen, met her death suddenly and tragically when she was struck by an automobile last night at 8: 15 p. m. as she was walking along the shoulder of Highway 1 at Caldwell as she was on her way home from Church service. Miss Brown was born in Fulton, Mississippi on February 09, 1884 and was the daughter of Mary Bowen Brown and Thomas Brown. She moved to Caldwell with her family when she was about 5 years old and had spent the remainder of her life there. She was a member of the Caldwell Baptist Church. Survivors include a brother, of Colt and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Caldwell Baptist Church. Rev. C. C. Bishop and Rev. R. B. Hoshaw will officiate. Burial will be in Hughes Cemetery.
