May 15, 1968-Rites Are Today For Mrs. Carter, Funeral services for Mrs. Florence
Hanslik Carter, 72, who died in Baptist Hospital, Memphis, will be held at 10:
30 a. m. today, Thursday, in Stevens Funeral Home. The Rev. Byron McSpadden will
conduct the services. Burial will be in Forrest Park Cemetery. Mrs. Carter was
born Nov. 5, 1895, in Chicage, the daughter of Mrs. Teresa Hanslik and Karl
Hanslik. She had lived in Chicago Heights and Kenosha, Wis., before moving here
three years ago. She had been in poor health for five months and critically ill
a week. At the time of her death she resided with her daughter, at 304 McCollum
Drive. Mrs. Carter is survived by another daughter, of Chicago; five
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
