Covey, 43, who died today of injuries received in a car wreck Wednesday night, will be held at 4 p. m. Saturday in Stevens Funeral Home. Rev. Boyd S. Reichenbach and Rev. Wilford Thompson will conduct the services. Burial will be in Forrest Park Cemetery. Born March 28, 1923, in Lepanto, Mr. Covey was the son of Maude Minor and William Covey. He had lived here for 15 years, and previously lived in Elgin, Ill., and West Memphis. A member of Beck's Spur Baptist Church, he was a service station attendant. At the time of his death he resided at 325 1/2 East Cook Avenue. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Mains Covey, whom he married in 1943; three sons, William, Sam and Wayman Covey, all of Forrest City; two daughters, Mrs. Christine Hines of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Carolyn C. Kelch of Forrest City; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. John Luker of Palestine; a brother, Wayman L. Covey of Elgin; six sisters, Mrs. Bess Yarber of Iuka, Miss., Mrs Bitha Clark of Forrest City, Mrs. Vick Preston of Michigan, Mrs. Nola Fields of North Little Rock, and Mrs. Mabel Morgan of LaBell, Fla.; and two grandchildren. 05/28/1966 (Times Herald newspaper)BRENDA HUNTLEY.
