Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Culpepper, 78, who died Monday night at Forrest Memorial Hospital, will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at Stevens Funeral Home by Rev. Glen Giles. Burial will be in Forrest Park Cemetery. Mrs. Culpepper, a long time resident of Forrest City had been in ill health for serveral years. She had been in critical condition since a stroke last week. Born in the Yocona Community south of Forrest City on March 21, 1877, she was the daughter of Lunetti Casteel and Richard Hodges. At the time of her death she lived on Highway 1 south between Forrest City and Haynes. She was a member of the Haynes Baptist Church. Her husband, Don Culpepper, whom she married in 1904, died in 1958.
