Services for Mrs. Annie Jackson, age 87, were held today at Stevens Funeral
Home, with the Rev. Norman officiating. Burial was in City Cemetery. Mrs.
Jackson died at 11: 30 a. m. Monday at Forrest Memorial Hospital, where she had
been a patient for three weeks. She had been in poor health since suffering a
stroke in 1961. Mrs. Jackson had made her home in Forrest City for 54 years, and
at the time of her death resided at 211 East Cook Street. Her husband Andrew
Jackson whom she married in 1911 died in 1929. She was a member of the First
Methodist Church in Forrest City. Mrs. Jackson was born June 8, 1879 in
Evergreen, Alabama. Survivors include one son, LIVING of Forrest City: one
brother, Joe Stallworth of Evergreen and one grandchild. Courtesy of Brenda
