Funeral services for Marshall D. Jones, 63. who died Tuesday night at Forrest
Memorial Hospital, will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday in Stevens Funeral Home.
Rev. Clyde Hankins will conduct the services. Burial will be in Forrest Park
Cemetery. Mr. Jones was born Feb. 3, 1903 in the Salem community north of
Goodwin. He had lived here since 1936, residing at 920 South Rosser at the time
of his death, and also had lived in Marianna. He had been suffering with a heart
condition and had been in poor health for six years. A member of First Baptist
Church, he was a mechanic with Farmers Supply Company of Marianna. Survivors
include his wife, Mrs. Laura Edna Young Jones, whom he married in 1918; two
sons, LIVING. Two daughters, LIVING; a brother, LIVING of Marianna; two sisters,
LIVING, both of Memphis, and six grandchildren.
