May E Johnson Kennedy Birth: Oct. 31, 1866 Death: Aug. 2, 1965
Mrs. Kennedy's Rites To Be Tuesday At 2.
Funeral services for Mrs. May E. Kennedy, 98, who died recently in San Antonio,
Tex., will be held at 2 P. M. Tuesday in Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. Lester
Nance in charge. Burial will be in Forrest City Cemetery. Mrs. Kennedy, who
moved to Forrest City in 1895, had made her home here for several years with her
brother Sydney Johnson who died several years ago. She had been living in San
Antonio for the past six years. She died at the Laurelwood Medical Hospital
there. Born in Tennessee on Oct. 3, 1866, she was the daughter of Mary Kennedy
and George H. Johnson. She married George Greenacre over 70 years ago and after
his death in 1918 she married Frank Kennedy, who died in 1934. She is survived
by one son, George Greenacre of Bluefield, W. Va.; one brother, Dan Johnson of
Shubuta, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. Lelia Dausleaux of Memphis; two grandchildren,
LIVING; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
