John C. Lindsey Sr., 71, Owner Of Extensive Land Holdings, Died At His Home In
Caldwell. Services Will Be At 2 P. M. Friday At Stevens Funeralhome With Burial
In Hughes Cemetery In The Good Hope Community. Mr. Lindsey Was The Last Of Four
Brothers Who Developed Large Enterprises Involving Farming And Ginning
Operations And The Mercantile Business. He Had Been County Tax Assessor And Was
A Mason And A Baptist. He Leaves His Wife, The Former Miss Gertrude Harris; A
Son, John Lindsey Jr., Of Caldwell; And Three Sisters, Living.
