Veatries Joshua Dees, 94, died Thursday, December 31, in California. She was a
resident of California and a member of the St. John M. B. Church and Lively
Stone Church of God. She is survived by one daughter, Living; two sons, Living
Dees; 17 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 39 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 9, at 12 noon, at Hightower and
Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at SurForney Young Cemetery in
Brickeys. Pallbearers were Alvin Dees, Walter Dees, Otha Joshua and Micheal
Dees. Arrangements were handled by Hightower and Sons Funeral Home.
